If so, please take a minute to
nominate this humble online home for Irish genealogy (and host blog for the
Carnival of Irish Heritage & Culture) to the 2009
Irish Blog Awards. Nominations will be accepted until 6 p.m. January 14 (Irish time, of course). Voting will take place in February with winners announced online Wednesday, February 18. That's during “Irish Blog Week”. Thanks to
Irish Blog Awards and
its sponsors for seeking out and recognizing the best Irish blogs. Make sure you check out the winners on February 18 for some good reading.
Lisa,
ReplyDeleteWhich category should we enter you...there are 19 of them. I suspect the Art and Culture category is where you'd fit...
Tim
Hi Tim -
ReplyDeleteThanks very much. I think the "Specialist Blog" category makes sense to me, since its description is: "An Irish blog with one core subject/area, that is not covered by the other blog categories. Even specialist blogs post about other topics from time to time, but the purpose and message of this blog are clear."
The Arts & Culture category could work, too, although I'm not sure if they were thinking of genealogy when they created that category.
Once again, I appreciate you taking the time to vote!
Lisa
I completely think you deserve this nomination (and award)! You do an awesome job Lisa. I nominated you this evening.
ReplyDeleteBest Wishes!!!
Thanks very much, Colleen. It is knowing that readers like you are out there enjoying Small-leaved Shamrock (and letting me know!) that makes it even more fun.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I think I would still keep writing even if no-one else was reading but me...
:)
